Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using SpekTree ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service. These terms apply to all users, including parents, guardians, and healthcare practitioners.
Service Description
SpekTree is an AI-powered nutrition intelligence platform designed for families of children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). The Service provides:
- Food and nutrition logging with USDA-powered nutrient data
- AI-assisted photo food recognition
- Symptom and behavior tracking
- Supplement management and interaction alerts
- Nutrient gap analysis against pediatric Dietary Reference Intakes (DRIs)
- Doctor-ready PDF reports
User Accounts
- You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
- You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
- You must provide accurate and complete information when creating your account.
- You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.
Medical Disclaimer
SpekTree is a nutritional tracking and informational tool. It does NOT provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always consult with your child's healthcare provider before making dietary or supplement changes.
- Nutrient gap analyses and AI insights are informational estimates, not clinical recommendations.
- Supplement interaction alerts are based on general databases and may not account for your child's specific conditions.
- Doctor-ready reports are designed to facilitate conversations with healthcare providers, not replace professional assessments.
- In case of a medical emergency, contact your local emergency services immediately.
Subscription & Billing
- SpekTree offers Free, Plus, and Pro subscription tiers. See our Pricing page for current details.
- Paid subscriptions are billed monthly or annually through Stripe.
- You may cancel your subscription at any time. Access continues through the end of the current billing period.
- We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days advance notice to existing subscribers.
- Refunds may be issued on a case-by-case basis within 14 days of purchase.
Intellectual Property
All content, features, and functionality of SpekTree — including text, graphics, logos, icons, software, and algorithms — are the exclusive property of SpekTree and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of the Service without our express written permission.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, SpekTree and its officers, directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service.
Our total liability for any claims arising under these terms shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
Termination
- We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms.
- You may delete your account at any time from your account settings.
- Upon termination, your data will be permanently deleted within 30 days, unless required by law.
- You may request a data export before deleting your account.
Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or through a prominent notice within the Service at least 30 days before the changes take effect. Your continued use of SpekTree after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
Governing Law
These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which SpekTree operates, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these terms or the Service shall be resolved through binding arbitration, except where prohibited by law.
